Formal written papers of presentations made at NPRA conferences pertaining to the refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries are available. These conferences include:

Technical papers are available to NPRA member company personnel at NO CHARGE.
Individual papers are available to non-members at $25.00 per paper.

Annual Meeting Papers

NPRA Annual Meeting Papers report on topics such as industry management, public policy, market and environmental issues; emerging technological and refinery process developments; and factors impacting fuel and lubricant manufacturing.

Labor Relations/Human Resources Conference papers address such topics as labor-management relations, complying with federal statutes and regulations, improving employee morale and productivity, and updates on legislation and regulation.

Clean Fuels Challenge Papers

Clean Fuels Challenge (This is a new meeting as of August, 2001, continuing in alternate years [odd] to the Cat Cracker Seminar.) Papers focus on the challenging issues of operations, maintenance and reliability facing the refining industry in light of ultra-low sulfur standard requirements for gasoline and diesel fuel.

Cat Cracker Seminar Papers

This biennial meeting is an open forum for the exchange of experiences with mechanical and maintenance problems in fluid catalytic cracking units. It also features a tabletop exhibition of equipment and services.

Plant Automation & Decision Support Conference

Plant Automation & Decision Support Conference Papers focus on practical experience with the application, integration and management of computing technology in areas of hydrocarbon processing, including process control, modeling, IT networks and Internet-based applications.

Q&A and Technology Forum - Session Papers

Design and Operations Safety Session: The NPRA's Safety and Health Committee presented a three-hour session on plant safety topics for process engineers, design engineers, and operations supervisors and managers. The Design and Operations Safety session covers best practices and lessons learned from recent events, the use of safety instrumented systems, and designing for loss-control.

Automated Systems Security Workshop - Session Papers

The Automated Systems Security Workshop was held on September 12, 2006. The NPRA Cyber Security Subcommittee sponsored the workshop. The workshop had presentations on IT security, risk-mapping, and other areas that are of interest to today’s IT and Process Control operations.
