About the Safety Awards ProgramAbout the Safety Awards ProgramAwards Awards Banquet Photo Gallery About the Safety Awards Program The NPRA Safety Statistics and Awards Program is part of a comprehensive safety program developed by NPRA’s Safety and Health Committee to promote accident prevention in the petroleum refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries as well as the contractors supporting them and to publicly recognize those facilities that for the previous year have achieved a high safety standard in their daily operations. NPRA companies who operate U.S. refineries and petrochemical manufacturing plants, as well as NPRA Associate member contractors working in those facilities. The Safety Awards are based on records kept for employees in accordance with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) record keeping requirements as defined by law and entered on the OSHA 300A form. The NPRA safety awards program is open to NPRA Regular Member companies which operate a U.S. refinery or petrochemical manufacturing plant as well as NPRA Associate Member contractors. Associate members must be nominated by a Regular Member operating facility to be eligible for an award.
